  6. The program is controlable via keys and is font sensitiv.
  7. (Version date: 23.1.94). The program doesn't work with
  8. cachefonts. (John Preston please contact me via e-mail!)

  11. HISTORY
  12.     V1.x:  - old version, was available on aminet
  13.     V2.0:  - totally new outfit and control
  14.     V2.1:  - now supports cli-argument FROM, USE and SAVE
  15.               o FROM: file to load preferences
  16.               o USE:  temporarily use the selected screenmode
  17.               o SAVE: use now and next on reboot
  18.               o PUBSCREEN: open window on public screen
  19.     V2.2:  - corrected NewLookMenus of Kick3.0

  21.     V2.3:  - displayed font has the right size corresponding
  22.              to the visible size in the sizelist

  37.     V2.12: - now FontPrefs matches on a PAL-Hires-Screen (:-))    
  38.     V2.14: - now all Fonts work with the display    
  39.     V2.15: - corrected version string
  40.     V2.16: - FontPrefs destroyed sometimes the background when displaying 
  41.              large fonts. This is fixed now. Check version of catalogfile.
  42.              Improved some routines, so FontPrefs V2.16 is smaller than V2.15
  43.     V2.17: - added escape to quit FontPrefs

  46.      FontPrefs is freely distributable. It is "CardWare" (look under AUTHOR).
  47.      FontPrefs is free to be spread on public-domain and shareware disks
  48.      especially on Fred Fish's AmigaLibDisks, as long as they are sold for
  49.      a reasonable charge that is less than US $6 or DM 8.- .
  50.      For use in commercial products the permission of the authors is required.
  51.      FontPrefs may be copied and distributed via electronic networks such
  52.      as the Internet, also it may be held available on anonymous ftp-servers,
  53.      mail-boxes or BBS's.

  68. REQUIREMENTS
  69.      o Any Amiga with Kickstart 2.04 (V37) or higher

  71. OPTIONS - CLI ARGUMENTS
  72.      FontPrefs now knows some Cli-Args which may be issued on the 
  73.      command line. (FROM/K,USE/S,SAVE/S,PUBSCREEN/K)

  75.      Here are the Cli-Args the program recognizes.

  77.      FROM <filename>
  78.           the file filename will be loaded as preferences
  79.      USE
  80.           the loaded file will be used as new prefs until
  81.           next reboot
  82.      SAVE
  83.           the loaded file will be used as new prefs and are
  84.           also active on next reboot
  85.       PUBSCREEN <screenname>
  86.            opens window on public-screen
  87.  
  88. USAGE:
  89.     - Cursor up and down to go up and down in the fontlist
  90.     - Cursor left and right to go up and down in the sizelist
  91.     - hit escape to quit FontPrefs without saving
  92.     - Keycodes are visible in program
  93.     - Select the kind of font you want to change with the three
  94.       gadgets on the left side.
  95.     - Then pick a font. After you have decided to take one, click
  96.       on the gadget under the listview-gadgets (on the right side)
  97.       to aply the font.
  98.     - When you have finished, take one of the three gadgets on the
  99.       lower left side of the window.
  100.     - After this buy a postcard of your hometown and send me some 
  101.       greetings. :-))

  103.     Try it and you will like it.

  105. TESTING
  106.      This program was developed on an A4000/040 and was tested on the 
  107.      following configurations:
  108.      o A4000/040, 241 MB & 120 MB IDE HDs, oMniBus-Gfx-System, 2 MB Chip-RAM 
  109.        and 8 MB Fast-RAM. (OS3.0)
